Lance Weaver’s grew up in Levelland, Texas, where his family has been pivotal in the local real
estate scene for over 40 years. His journey into agriculture began during high school through
active involvement in FFA, where he not only showed livestock but also competed in leadership
events, eventually serving as an Area 1 Officer.
After high school, Lance pursued his passion for agriculture at South Plains College, earning an
Associate of Science in Agriculture. He continued his education at Sam Houston State
University, graduating cum laude with a degree in Agricultural Business. During his time at
SHSU, Lance distinguished himself as Student Body Vice President and Vice Chair of the Texas
State University System Student Advisory Board, garnering multiple awards for his leadership
and academic achievements.
Following his undergraduate studies, Lance furthered his education at Oklahoma State
University, pursuing a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics. His time there included a
prestigious internship with the House Committee on Agriculture in Washington, D.C., where he
spent four months being mentored by some of the top policymakers in the world. His thesis
focused on the economic impact of transitioning CRP land to continuous cropping systems.
In 2012, Lance married his best friend and fellow student Amanda Simpson, a native of Cave
Springs, Arkansas. The couple embarked on their PhD studies at Oklahoma State before a career
opportunity landed Lance in Agricultural Finance. There, Lance excelled having an opportunity
to move to West Texas rising from an analyst to a lender and then to Branch Manager. During
their time in the Panhandle, they joyfully welcomed their children, Ella and Jackson.
After six fulfilling years in West Texas, Lance and his family relocated closer to Amanda’s
hometown, where Lance continued to thrive in agricultural finance, specializing in supporting
poultry operators. With nearly 11 years of experience spanning seven states, Lance established
himself as a trusted advisor and top land lender in the region.
Now, Lance is embarking on a new chapter with Team Ag as a salesperson focusing on
agricultural properties. His extensive expertise and deep industry connections ensure a smooth
